Russell Johnson
Owner
Russell grew up in Southwest Louisiana and graduated from Demmons School of Beauty in 1996, and moved to Baton Rouge in 1998. With over 20 years of experience in the hair industry, Russell has truly honed his skills as a master stylist. He has worked on television sets, editorial photo shoots, fashion and runway shows and countless bridal events. He has a keen ability to shape hair and he is known for his precise coloring, effortless styling and calm demeanor. He has worked as a mentor, trainer and manager in all of his previous salons. The most obvious testaments to his talent are his devoted clients and he is skilled at accentuating their best features.
He had the vision of opening his own salon which would provide a strong foundation in education for stylists and also create a relaxed environment for guests to have a holistic experience for their hair service. In 2010, Russell, along with his wife Kacey, opened the doors to Artizen Salon. It has been a rewarding and learning experience and he is extremely proud of the success that the salon has had so far and he is grateful for his staff and loyal clientele.

Cathy Tran
Salon Coordinator
Cathy is our Salon Coordinator and often the first person guests see at the salon. Cathy grew up in New Orleans and later moved to Baton Rouge. She graduated from Aveda Institute in 2010 and joined Artizen Salon in 2012. Since she is a licensed stylist, she is a tremendous asset as she can go above and beyond to help the flow of the salon in addition to her management role.
Cathy is known for her friendly demeanor, genuine laugh and superior customer service. She has an innate ability to connect with our staff & clients and can always bring a smile to their faces. It is her goal to ensure that everyone who visits Artizen Salon has had a positive experience and that we have exceeded their expectations.

Artizen Salon is beyond exceptional! I have never been anything but ecstatic with the service and professionalism at this salon. It is always a relaxed atmosphere and not chaotic as many salons I have experienced can be. Russell, the owner, is my stylist and is incredibly talented with color, cuts, styling and even the occasional modified updo.
